God is patient
One of the great miracles of this life, is God's patience with us. We fail, we fail and we fail...He picks us up, and up and up. Without the grace He gives we fail. Want to shout a thank you to God and a prayer for humility that I might receive grace.

Once again..
I had rough patch in my walk and in it I weakened in my faith and afterwards returned to a more legalistic/religious form of faith. I lost that power and joy that came with being filled with the Holy Spirit and I saw it in my life. I hated being able to feel that difference, but that is what has held me in my quest to return to such a faith. Now, again, I see God working into my life true worship, dependence, trust and obedience. The joy of the Spirit and the power in prayer and life are being expressed in me again. I'm thankful that God has given me this grace, that is to be able to return to my first love, to grow hot again after being so warm.
The old hymn still rings true: the only way to be happy in Jesus is to trust and obey.
Father help me and my family in Christ to trust you and to obey you by the power Your Spirit provides and in Jesus' Name. Amen.

It felt right...
Thank you if anyone saw and prayed for me after reading my last post, because I did go back out witnessing and God really blessed me. When we were leaving I felt like staying, it felt right being out there ministering. It is the first time in a long time I felt like my walk was in the right place, no inner turmoil, it was just right.
We broke up into two contingents and all together, we ministered to homeless folk, we talked with a couple Muslims, and we prayed/encouraged some brothers in Christ. Afterwards we prayed for all the people we had run into and went home, blessed. I mean blessed! Even typing about it now, I still have that sense of God's grace, God's presence.

Interesting Night
I do believe in the power of the Holy Spirit, but rarely have I experienced His work in my life. Well one night a few years back, I went street-witnessing with some friends, both of them newer believers. (I think street-witnessing is a great way to break new believers into learning how to share their faith). Well it was a great night, we talked with some folks, we had a good time just hanging out with each other, and then we left, nothing particularly different. As we were about to go home, we decided to pray, I will tell you right now that is the most spirit led prayer session I have ever been a part of! One of us opened and then like popcorn reading we began 'popcorn prayer', one person would chime in after another's sentence, completing the idea of the prayer, without anyone stepping on the others toes. It was the most dynamic, Spirit led thing I had ever been a part of. Afterwards we were all pumped so the natural thing to do was go eat, it had been a long evening and we were all hungry so we went to the local Steak and Shake. When we left my heart was saying I needed to speak to this guy standing near the entrance. I spoke to him as if I knew him and what was going on in his life and he nodded as if we were in agreement. To this day I don't know if what I said impacted him or if it was a word of knowledge or something else, but in my heart I am confident that the Spirit of God spoke to that young man that night. Man... it still gets me pumped thinking about that night and how God did amazing things through my friends and I, blessing us in the process.
Pray for me when you read this because I am going to street witnessing tonight and hopefully I will be going out regularly to love on people in my community right where they are at.
