Battling Lies

As I been going through some rough times with a lot of spiritual warfare, I've been finding my comfort from the promises of our God in his Word. Everytime the enemy lies to me I start reminding him and myself of the promises of God. Not only does it build my faith, but after repeating and thinking about the scriptures I find that he flees, which is another promise of God: James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

As I submit in believing and also resist in believing, the devil flees from me. Then I have a period of peace before the enemy finds another opening. Without the word of God, I'm helpless. Praise God for his word and thank him for victory in Christ Jesus.

Purpose of this Blog

Psalms 105:1-7 Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! (2) Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! (3) Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice! (4) Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! (5) Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he uttered, (6) O offspring of Abraham, his servant, children of Jacob, his chosen ones! (7) He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.

I remember when a friend of mine was going through cancer that she would give testimony of the Lord's faithfulness in her life, despite the attacks of the enemy God helped her and caused her to press through. Then I myself went through a bout of doubt as a result of backslidding and my faith diminished during this period; when I repented and came back to the Lord the devil buffeted me alot. I realized again or maybe even for the first time the importance and power of faith in the Christian life. As I was reading the Psalms 105 verses 1-7, the Lord put it on my heart to document his faithfulness in my life that it might help build the faith of my brothers and sister in Christ. Also that the Lord might be glorified for all his wondrous works.
